En una nueva etapa de la ejecución del Proyecto Entre Plazas, la Municipalidad de Quillota informó de nuevos cortes de tránsito en el centro de la ciudad.
Se trata de la calle O’higgins entre Chacabuco y Maipú, por la que no se podrá circular en vehículos desde el lunes 18 de mayo y durante seis semanas.
La entidad municipal tiene un plan de desvíos en la que sugieren que desde calle Prat o Chacabuco hacia el centro, los vecinos prefieran calle Freire.
Por otro lado Desde 18 de septiembre, Molinare, Prat u O’Higgins hacia el centro, conectar con Freire a través de Chacabuco.
El municipio señaló a través de su página de Facebook que la idea del proyecto, que ha recibido algunas críticas de los vecinos, es «dar más espacio y seguridad a las personas por sobre los automóviles».
Además se busca «hermosear el casco patrimonial revitalizando el circuito fundacional y ampliar espacio público para el desarrollo del comercio, cultura, turismo y recreación».
